Evel Kneivel, if you grew up in the 70's you probably wanted to be this guys in the worst way! Saturdays, when he jumped the world stopped and we were glued to the TV to see our hero sail through the air and hopefully come to a safe landing! (it was pretty cool when he didn't either) Moms despised him as the sound of hammer and nails rang out from the garages as we built makeshift ramps for our bicycles to jump ditches, go carts or whatever we could find to sail that bike over like our hero. I learned to weld as a kid welding broken bicycle frames casualties of our emulating Evel...our hero! Never been a better, braver showman and never will! RIP Evel, no pain of broken bones now... Kevin Dubrow...nuts. Lead singer of the band Quiet Riot. If you didn't come of age in that era you should still be able to rock out to "Cum On Feel the Noize". I remember driving around in a 1969 Firebird I built with this great anthem blaring! I played it while we were rigging up to jump for "Operation Urgent Fury", the 1983 invasion of Grenada. It got my men pumped for the nasty task ahead! 53..too young to pass, thanks for the music brother! Rock and remember all you older guys! www.youtube.com/watch?v=KW2J_UZ8lQU
