Operation : AAMO

What : Best of x matches tournament, with HLTV coverage and a second place match as well as a grand finale.

Match setup (This is assuming 3 teams, I hope for more).

Team A, Team B, Team C

The following is not in any particular order, just to show that everyone plays 3 matches at least.

Purported maps : TBD
Possible maps : railroad2_b2, anzio, donner, solitude_b2 (CAL version of advance) lennon2_b2, chemille, thunder, northbound, zafod, etc.

Configs : Modified CAL configs, reserved for AAMO's use thereafter.

Matches : 6v6 format, 20 minute/15 minute halves, depending on the amount of teams. Play both sides of the map.

Spawn camping will not be allowed. As useful as it is in a CAL format, this is supposed to be fun, not PRO.

To get something like this really started, we need to start getting info about the date, about the maps, about how many teams, etc. I have taken the initiative and set a date for the match. I hope that everyone sets this day aside (I will be asking off from work for it tommorrow). I'm going to be setting up a private server for this use, unless Jump and co. would prefer to use the AAMO one.


If this is something you are interested in attending, I propose you do the following. Start some "teams" (be it an official AAMO one, or one from the regulars on the forums/server). Start a signup in a forum thread, and keep in touch with your members. The more teams we have, the more fun to be had.

On a personal note, despite having two seasons of league experience now, my best moments in DoD were playing in OCW on the TLO server. Its alot more fun to play with people you enjoy shooting that damnable brazilians. I hope to see alot of old faces on the 15th, and hope to have a hell of a lot o fun. See you there!

To those non AAMO or not affiliated with other units:

During the OCW the TLO regulars formed a team to play. We pretty much got hammered but it was without a doubt one
of the greatest tools that contributed to my understanding the game. Most of all I had a blast!

I'd encourage the TOD regulars to form up. How about: Boom, Body shot, Tassy, McShizzle, Scar and whoever else may go along.

Dammmmmmit , I waited this day to join this game specially to learn some new things!!!!! But I just bought ticket to go see Nutcraker ballet on this day grrrrrrrrr I'll talk about it to Fardoche, the poor guy, he will be all alone without me hihihihihi
