New Group of players !

As I stated previously in a post , I am looking forward to start a new group of players. I left my e-mail for those of you who might be interested. The result ... no e-mail yet.

Chocolate Milk thought it would be a great idea to have the " OutOfAAMO " tag and recruit every single individual on the server.

Fine for him, but that's not exactly what I had in mind.

I turned to my fellow "Quebecers" and french speaking pals, Tassy and Fardoche and saw that they were interested in having a french speaking group.

Now let me make this clear, we do not intend to only use french language, because we are aware that it might get annoying to some point. What we are willing to do is use both english and french but at chosen times. For example in a regular game night on the server we will mainly use english, but if we someday have a scrim, french will of course be the first choice, this way you guys will have a hard time understanding what we say and this will be just fine this way.

So the chosen tag for now is :

[UWS] which stands for : United We Stand !

This is in no way a clan, nor do we have a leader or some type of rules. For now we have 3 official members and founders of the movement which are Tassy, Fardoche and of course myself. Anyone intersted in wearing the tag for any reason should contact one of us and see if we grant the right to wear it.

Yesterday TryAgain -T- had the tag on for a little while, he wants in and he's on a trial period. You might see him around with the tag but he's still under observation, since he's relatively new to this server. We wouldn't want any disruptive play going on from one of ours.

I hope to hear comments from the ToD/TLS community soon, and feel free to contact regarding anything concerning UWS !

This group will hopefully grow and get better soon enough to try and take on the AAMO squad. This will be a big challenge, and in no way do we expect a good result anytime soon, but like our tag says, United We Stand, and we will put up a good fight.

Tassy and Fardoche are a good start! They hack....errr play much better than just a few months ago.

It's best to plow ahead and let others do as they wish!

As far as language, To think we'd speak English while those bilingual can hear us and then communicate among themselves probably ain't gonna happen. Whenever we need to we can turn all talk off on the TLS server I'm not sure about TOD though. But I will google a French dictionary so I know when you're calling me a "dirty rotten cheating hack wanna be"! ;D

Just to clear up a few things.

OutOfAAMO is to this day not yet official and honestly I do not see it being "official", being that we were just playing around, for now just identifying some regulars(unless I ear otherwise)

Second we do not "recruit" on the server,(even if I have been ask by some players if they could by OutOfAAMO) well simply because there is no reason for recruiting (alto we do explain to people that ask what is "OutOfAAMO")

Last but not lease I do not see why we can not be all a happy family, since language is not really in play when comes time to scrim. Seeing that each side does not ear the other.

Anyway just my 2 cents.

Personally I rater wait to be recruited by AAMO.....LOL

I think the Topic is misleading. There is no new group (at least not in the concept of OOAAMO - Out Of AAMO). I think it was Ultra-Spank who suggested it. To say that Chocolate is recruiting, I think you've misunderstood. It's not a clan, is was just an idea to designate Regulars vs sporadic people who only come in because they see people playing on a server and aren't tied to any specific location (internet nomads?). I think my feelings are like those of Chocolate Milk, I tend to lean on the idea that maybe I'll be a member of AAMO at some point.

In this light, I think OOAAMO is sort of appropriate, since in its name it ties itself to the AAMO group. Not only that, but it's a great play on words, so it makes it sort of catchy. Essentially, the AAMO people and servers are our home away from home, regardless of the fact that we aren't official members of AAMO.

As far as any server is concerned, it's an idea that's been tossed around, but nothing finalized. I myself need to improve my gameplay in many respects. As I understood it, its intent is only so we could practice without interfering normal gameplay or scrims.

Someplace within the forum, I recall that a member of AAMO made a statement similar to (and I'm paraphrasing) "he was glad that regulars took an interest and responsibility in what was happening on the servers, and trying to keep some order when AAMO members weren't around. " So maybe, stragglers who come on the server and are disruptive may be a bit more responsive to someone who's tag is similiar to that of AAMO (maybe they'll assume it to be a lower class in the group). It doesn't matter to me what a stranger to the server thinks of tit's significance (Out Of AAMO tag), so long as if they're informed they're being disruptive and adjust their actions accordingly, I guess I'm happy. If that same person didn't see a tag next to my name, they may not give a danged about what my concerns were on the server.

Boy, I sure can be long-winded sometimes, huh? Anyways, I'm not trying to start any grief with anyone on this, I'm just explaining what this "Out Of AAMO" thing was all about as clear as I could.
