Made this projector a while back out of a 15" lcd screen, a 400 watt halogen bulb and some lenses. I just got a new pc for the wife so I could dedicate her old one to run dvds. Been watching a bunch of movies lately, thought I'd post a few pics. The 15" lcd I'm using only does 1024x768 so it is not quite 720p. 120" diag. screen. ~105" when widescreen format. We all seriously need to get together and just have a DoD/ SciFi marathon! It at least seems like we all watch the same stuff.

Getting together would be great but I dont think anyone has enough computers to get a DoD party going. A SciFi marathon happens in this house more then often. My kids actually sit and watch most of what we like as well. They like to argue at times on which Doctor Who to watch...lol and if my youngest hears the 1812 overture (which she calls Crichtons song) she goes nuts.

LOL, I'm kinda partial to the 1960's version of The Doctor Who series. Yet this new series is growing on me. Although I do prefer watching Billie Piper running around with The Doctor vs this new girl. She's Purdy ;D ;D

I like season 2 of the new series the best....season 3 was ok but this new one he has for season 4 ick didnt very much like her in the Christmas special. But the good news is Rose (Billie Piper) is coming back for a bit in season 4 which starts this Fri...hehehe Also we watched the Sarah Jane Adventures which started this past fri....was ok but I thought it could have been better since its coming from the same ppl which do the new doc who. Still waiting for SciFi to get Torchwood though. Still waiting for the 10 Farscape 10 minute things to come as well......lmao And Beek is it just me or did Battlestar get boring??? All drama now and no but kicking

Should I rent the dvds?

ST:TNG pwns all!
sci-fi channel, lol...worst station ever...should be called crappy, we make the worst made for tv b-movies, never show any cool sci-fi channel
I made the mistake of watching the pilot to the new Flash Gordon series just because I thought maybe they'd do it some justice...WRONG
oh yeah, just a quick question: How many incarnations does Dr. Who have left? He can't have many more if any, how are they going to keep making the show?

LOL, Star Trek is ok, never really got into it. Flash Gordon the series sucked and I don't think it's coming back. I can't see Dr. Who going on for more than two more years and yet I also imagine that 30 years after it's over someone will start a new series.
Yes SciFi has some absolutely terrible movies that they put on the air, but think of it this way, if they didn't show them nobody would ;D ;D ;D
They generally have had some luck with their TV Series' for example Stargate SG1, Stargate Atlantis, BSG had a good run, I wish they'd bring back Farscape for another season or two. Doctor Who (though I watch it on BBCA) I guess you can't really call that one an original. I like SciFi for their marathons, watch a whole season of SG1 in one day.
By the way, did you guys see the SG1 movie (Ark of Truth)?

The Doctor was originally supposed to have 13 regens but who knows what they will do. The good news is there not on 13 yet....hehehe...so we have nothing to worry about just yet. And yes Flash really bit the big one and Buldge they are doing 10 short web things for Farscape, think its to test the reaction of the watchers. not sure when they will be ready since they had that strike and all. My list of things to watch runs kinda long and its all on SciFi so yeah Im sort of like a geek when it comes down to it. The only things I dont watch on there are their stupid buzzard B flicks and Ghost Hunters. O and yeah we have the Arc Of Thruth, wasnt real happy with it though.

Damn Beek, that's pretty close...when it came out in '87 I was 9...I didn't REALLY get into it though 'til I got into high school. 93-94ish...and although Marina Sirtis does have a nice rack... Patty Stew is the man! Ok, Brent Spiner is too. Yeah see, all of those Stargate shows...hated them. Love the movie. I'm supposed to believe that McGuyver is the same caliber of ass kicking machine as Kurt Russell? No, i think not. That would be like making a tv series of Predator and having Neil Patrick Harris play Dutch. Maybe if the stargate needed to be fixed with a paperclip, rubberband, and some shoe polish he might come in handy. And plus, James Spader wasn't in it either. The last sci-fi show that I really liked was Firefly. Great show. He might've written Buffy, but Joss Whedon did something awesome there. 13? Ok that's more than I thought.
