A day or so ago, while playing on the server, someone commented about hating Windows Vista and how it was affecting his mouse, thus impeding his game play. So, for those of you who have migrated to Vista from XP (I'm still 'enjoying' XP) and have encountered a variety of other issues, I'm curious of what you might think of the video at the below link: www.metacafe.com/watch/1114219/windows_vista/

True dat yo. The only reason I stopped using Win98SE was because Steam stopped supporting it in the spring. I'm looking forward to getting 6-8 relatively stable years out of XP.

My wifes Dell has Vista on it. She hates it. Keeps asking for me to load XP on it, but I require payment upfront if you know what I mean. ;D

When I bought a new desktop I wanted to use the version of XP that came with my laptop. According to Microsoft, you can't even buy an additional license with preloaded software so I was forced to get an OEM version. I was allowed to install XP from the disk I had but it constantly prompted me to get a licensed version within 30 days. It did allow me to update the unlicensed version, though. When my OEM copy came via mail order I went to register it and the damn thing didn't even ask me for a product key. Of course this was all worth it to keep Vista off of my new system.

Mine isn't too bad either, granted I'm running 4 gig of RAM, dual core processor, and linked vid cards.
I don't think my old rig would have worked too well with vista (1 gig ram, p4, 564 vid card)
It's a power hog, I'll give you that.
