All you have to do is go into the console ( hit the ~ button) and type stopsound when the map starts.

put this in your console.
bind "TAB" "+showscores; timeleft; stopsound"

"stopsound" is not only league legal, it is endorsed whole-heartedly. Using stopsound to kill ambience volume, as well as to differentiate between footsteps on different levels on the map is key to RAPING THE OPPONENT.
