Gotta be my grenade antics!? Oooohhhhh, probably because I kill bots when they get stuck to get them a fresh start! I better start kicking them instead! But if they don't count for you...why should they count against you?

Anybody know the criteria for these stats!! It's about impossible to climb up the ranks! Working on that, albeit very slowly. Will let you know when I move the stats over to the other web server.

Are all Steam id's open for everyone to view and does that pose any threat to anybody? Yeah, they are open to anyone in the stats pages. In fact, if you go on any server, and type status in your console, you will see every players STEAM ID. There is no threat in seeing them. It's like seeing someones email address. Unless you know the password for that acccount, it's safe. Besides, you don't log into your account with a STEAM ID. You log in using a specific user name and password. So it's the user name and password that would have to be compromised. The steam id is just registered to that user. Always use a strong password, and never give it out to anyone.

I agree, the rankings seem to be a bit off, amount of time on should also factor into stats (ie someone who played for an hour and has a 1.5 k:D ratio has no business being listed just above someone with a 1.3 K:D and has been on for 15 hrs that week; 200:150 does not equal 2000:1500 in my opinion)

i partially agree with buldge, but at the same time someone should not be #1 because the spend 15 hours a day playing. It needs to go down to kills/minute type stats to rank people.

I did some digging and here is what Psychostats says about calculating skill: How is skill calculated? PsychoStats version 3+ continues to use the ELO formula to calculate skill values for players. In a nutshell, ELO tries to base how many points you gain or receive for kills and deaths based on your skill compared to your victim or killer. It calculates a probability of chance when someone kills another player. Also, PS3 is currently experimenting with the ELO formula and has tweaked it a little to allow for total online time of a player to have an affect of how much the probability changes on each kill. The more online time you have the less your skill will go up/down. Here's a link that explains the ELO formula a bit en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elo_rating_systemSo there it is - I doubt that the program would be nearly as popular if no one agreed with how they rank people
