Hello hippies / JumpG Kost`Nein / BobbertWulf is back in business, and hoping to spark some interest in an upcoming clan match. I mentioned BRIEFLY to Sinz this evening how cool it would be to have another OCW, since TLO has completely fallen apart. I think you guys could host it on your server, or I could host it on my private, if there is enough interest. For anyone that doesn't know, OCW, or Operation Clan War, is usually a Saturday afternoon set aside to bask in the glory of playing DoD all day, while competing in a tournament/scrim style setting on assorted maps. Short of bragging rights, there aren't really any benefits to winning, but if you setup HLTV, even when you aren't playing, you get to see some fun stuff. I know the new revised [Bobbert] would be there. I wouldn't bring my CAL team, that would just be mean. Anywho, anyone who has played through one or watched one or is interested in playing, lets get a discussion going here. I'd love to get something like this done over Christmas break (rough timetable).

Well hell, I thought you'd been carried off by Gypsy's or worse somebody actually married your sorry rump!!
That sounds like a good idea provided that TLO is not doing it. I never wanted to see us compete against a server that I admired so much. Granted, it has fallen on some hard times lately but still.
I see no reason why we couldn't take it over if possible or start our own gig! The two I took part in taught me more than a years worth of play. In fact, last years ass kicking forced me to pick up the rifles and use them exclusively!
I think it'd be a good project Wulf. Not sure what the server situation is here as I've been out of action for a few weeks but your right, we should start discussion on it ASAP!

No need to call it the same thing, lets just host our own thing. Would LOVE to see some CC / Radox competition in the mix. Invite a few rival clans, i'm sure you guys have had a few scrims. Anywho, the "idea box" strategy doesn't work unless people post... so post your ideas! Nubs!

We've been playing with the "Dusty" clan, "K9" and who was the gang that we beat up on on the Dust map that got all over each other when we hammered them on their own map?
If the guys who have been in contact with those clans would bounce the idea off them then we could begin to think about dates and formats.
You're right though we have to gain some interest in the project.
C'mon AAMO, let's get this thing going and make it a success!

I'm gathering some suggestions and trying to get a hold of the server owner to organize this thing. It's not gonna happen in a few weeks for sure!
I'd like it to be a good and a unique tournament for all involved so I'm not going to push through an event quickly just to say we did.
One thing for sure is the maps will most likely remain a secret until a week or so prior to the event. Nobody will have an advantage there. You'll just have to trust me here. No team will know prior to the next one.
Not to be a smart ass...but I'm an old dude, nobody can shame me, ridicule me or hurry me along by any means. If everyone wants to work together for something rewarding for all involved that's great. If your looking to put an event on quickly you may want to host one now and we'll host one later. I admittedly don't have alot of experience in it but am willing to learn. I'm just a believer in doing something the right way!
In the mean time, I'll keep pushing forward with this.

The first OCW I played in on TLO server, we made a team of regular guest players and entered it. Any team can sign up when we're ready. you just need six solid players. AAMO may be able to field two. By the way, we never came close to winning a match, but the learning experience was the beginning of my understanding the game. (notice I didn't say made me good

I'm not trying to press for something NOW. I would like to see this maybe during christmas break-ish. Just trying to stir up interest from some of your more...avoid-ant staff.

To All:
Still no contact with the server owner. I want to see this thing fly but it's seriously at a dead end until we Dave is back on line.
I know Dave wouldn't let it all lapse as he's too good a guy for that. We do not have phone numbers only email which apparently is trapped in his computer. I would think that accessing another computer though would allow him to contact us through email or msg board. It's strange.

I'd like to play so if it can be worked out I'll be there. I know Dave was having computer problems and also working alot of hours but I'm also kinda worried. I think even being extremely busy he would reply to a email. Has anyone other then Jump tried to email Dave? Is it possible that Jumps emails aren't making it to him? I know my Spam filter sometimes deletes legitimate emails.
