Well, how was it? Let us know your opinion or just turn this thread into a bash-fest and tell me how much of a loser I am, I'll leave it up to you...

Aint seen it yet. I'll take my oldest daughter this weekend and go. I've got a boat load of Iron Man comics from my childhood along with a few thousand others. Did you stick around to see the credits roll? I've heard there's a pretty surprising add on in them! (Won't spoil it as someone did to me!) I'll hold my vote but I'm pretty sure you're still a loser!

It's definately worth seeing, and yeah there's something pretty cool after the credits if you're a fanboy like me.
Iron Man was a bad-ass book back in the day...the character has taken a weird turn the last couple of years though from what I've seen.

All of the Marvel Universe has taken a strange turn...But the current story arc will attempt to make it right by saying that the Skrull were impersonating a lot of the superheroes who were doing strange stuff.

Just seen this earlier today, thought it was a pretty good movie. Loved the splat face first into the wall.....lmao Needless to say when the second comes out I will be among the ones paying to see it on the big screen.

Just got back...awesome!
Downey as Tony Stark was fantastic!
Comic based movies are so hard to convey the origins of the characters. Too much info and the movie gets boring, not enough and the folks with no back round are lost. It did well in this area!
I at one time felt it would be tough to top the first X-Men movie... this came right in there with it. I've read the books since the mid 60's and it was true to the story even in the modern setting!
Now, which Avenger team will we see in the future?
As I understand 2010 will be the next Iron Man installment.
Yep, I'm a comic geek too! Never thought as a kid I'd ever see anything like this at the movies!

iron man and thor in 2010
captain america: the first avenger (pretty sure that's the working title so far) and then the avengers movie 2011
which leads me to my next question: what's your dream line-up for the avengers movie?

I'll take a stab at it. and maybe Iron Man, Spider Man and Wolverine would all be cast with those who already play them...Now, cast the others! Who can we stuff in that black spandex suite!!! Hmmmm....

Never been a Thor fan nor a Hulk fan!
Both by the way b]will[/b] be in the movie as Ironman makes a cameo in Hulk and Thor gets his own flick along with Cap. AntMan (Pym) is scheduled to get his own flick also so he's a shoe-in.
I picked by what I thought would go over today rather than go traditional. Actually, I'm all about the 60's-70's books!
Black Widow was added as you need a hot babe in the mix for teen boys! (and old men)
Can't quite pick though who would best play Thor and Cap! Personally I'm not into big names playing these guys!
When the characters are not done justice (see 1970's Spiderman, Hulk, Cap movies and the first modern Hulk) I take it personal!!! These guys were sacred as a kid!
And yes Trin if this makes me a partial geek then I wear it proudly!

casting...hmmmm well, I always thought that howie long would've made an awesome cap when he was young, but he's too old now. so, I guess that leaves john cena but I don't think he has the acting chops to pull it off
